Our Story

TFC has an amazing story of God's blessings! Our roots go back to 1981 when a new church was born called Azle Church of God. The church was relaunched as Lake Worth Church of God in 1983.

At this point, growth began to take place. We began to see new ministries, new opportunities, and many, many new faces in the family. In a span of time, we've relocated twice and the church body keeps moving forward to fulfill God's plan.

In 1984, the church was renamed Northwest Temple of Praise. We functioned under this name until 2012.

In August of 2012, we were renamed The Freedom Center. This name change, we believe, was God-ordained and Spirit-led. We believe that with this name change, our destiny was redefined. We are to be a place of freedom and a place to experience freedom life!

As of December 2015, we are now at a new location sitting debt-free in our new building at 9000 White Settlement Rd. in White Settlement, Texas. At our current location TFC is pursing to be an influence in our community, our city and our region. The key to accomplishing this will be a united workforce that God can use. Our church is amazingly blessed with volunteers who serve in complete unity. Above all else, we value the Spirit of unity in all we do.
